Profiles: Discovery Draft

121-Shehu

I for one have never been able to understand what went on into customizing cars. I just thought that people did small stuff or took them to mechanics. But when I became engaged to a car fanatic, then I became sucked into that world. In a way, I was forced to have to become aware of cars. In my profile essay, I look more at the hobby of customizing cars, and how fascinating it is and how much work and dedication in takes.

I find customizing cars intriguing because of the reason that it takes a lot of work and dedication. It requires a certain level of intellect and knowledge to involve yourself in all aspects of “customizing your ride.” I like this subject because it shows a persons taste and have respect those who are willing to take matters into their own hands and not just sending it to a mechanic.

My essay also talks about how much money goes into the hobby. Buying parts for cars to make it to your own liking sets you back big time. And it is also very time consuming because everything has to be done slow and to perfection. One small mess-up can cost a person all the money put it. But as I said it takes guts to take matters into your own hands.

Understanding how a car works is very complicated. A person has to understand the mechanics and physics of a car. You also need understanding of a pretty complicated electrical system. There is so much thinking involved and putting the pieces together. Car customizers also have to have a visual sense of how the parts work with one another.

Customizing takes great intellect as I see it in my fiancé. The way that he understands the concepts seem to amaze me just as it would others. It is a great hobby and gift to be able to customize cars. To this day, all the changes that he has made have only made the car better looking and faster. His car is unique and it has become more him with every change that he has made. In my essay, I try to inform readers of this hobby and hope full they will come to better understand it.
